The Evolution of an English Town

"The Evolution of an English Town" by Gordon Home Gordon Cochrane Home was an English landscape artist, writer, and illustrator. A London-born man, he traveled the country and was able to see the development of how towns in the country changed throughout his life and even in the years before he was born. Going all the way back to the natural landscape created by the glaciers and the ice age, he then moves on to the Roman settlements, the Saxons, and through history to the early-20th century.
