Sam couldn’t have imagined a second pair of glasses with even greater powers; the personal cost of holding on to even one pair was too high. Deciding to take on a position of power for her country was not an option, if she wanted to keep the rest of her family safe. But after discovering the second pair’s forbidden powers, Sam knew instantly that this was all she needed to put an end to all others who sought to use the glasses' powers for the wrong purposes.
